5 New Movie Releases That Will Be Blockbusters

Click here to When you watch movie trailer commercials on TV, it's hard to know when you're watching something that will either be pretty good or not. But every once in a while, you watch trailers for new movie releases that you know are gonna be huge! And we're not just talking critical darlings or popular with a few small groups of fans. These are the kinds of movie that are sure to be blockbusters. Broken attendance records, chart-topping soundtracks & motion picture scores, and you can't forget the killer merchandise.
The thing is that calling a blockbuster isn't an exact science. If it was, most movies that were destined to be abject failures would never have been made in the first place. Still, there was something about the script that got a movie studio pumped. Serious money is invested into different projects every year in the hopes that they will be the best thing to have hit theaters in years. The truth, however, is that this usually isn't the case. In fact, some movies are lucky if they break even, leaving some careers in ruin.
But that's Tinseltown for you. If there is one thing, though, that most movie fans can agree on is that you can usually count on a blockbuster film to come to fruition if it has a heritage in a previous hit movie franchise. It also helps when you have some big-name actors, actresses, and even some serious talent behind the camera giving some credibility to the project. A solid hit movie can also come from appealing to the universal emotional tug of a good, heartwarming/heartbreaking human story. And when all else fails, you can start blowing things up real good!
With the holidays right around the corner, prime movie-watching will be in full-effect, so here are five new movie releases that are sure to be big hits:
Doctor Sleep --- If you're a fan of horror & suspense, you'll remember the terrifying 1980 film, The ShiningDoctor Sleep serves as a continuation to the story of Danny Torrance, the young boy from the original film & his need to face the trauma of surviving the events of The Overlook Hotel.
Last Christmas --- This is the story of a young woman who has seemingly found little in the world to be happy about even though she works as a Christmas elf. Terminator: Dark Fate --- Another piece in the saga of one of the greatest action film franchises of all-time, we see two of the original film's stars are back, as well as one of the integral faces behind the camera. It turns out that much of what we thought would be easy decisions about saving humanity in previous chapters of the Terminator films might not have been so straight-forward.
Ford v. Ferrari --- Finally, a car movie for car fans. This is the story of the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the lengths to which Carroll Shelby, Ken Miles, and the Ford Motor Co. went to outrace the offerings of Enzo Ferrari.
Frozen II --- Anna & Else, as well as their old friends, go on a journey beyond their kingdom to discover the origin of Elsa's magical powers. For many, this sequel is a chance to have a number of questions from the first film answered, but be prepared to have these songs in your head for the next few years, too.
Again, it has to be said that predicting which new movie releases will be blockbusters isn't an exact science. Still, there are tell-tale signs that help insiders predict when a film will do well. There's just one problem with these signs --- they don't hold up most of the time. The moviegoing public can run hot & cold, and tastes in what's in change over the years & between generations. In the end, though, if you're looking to watch a good movie & you enjoyed the trailers you watched, take a chance.
